FREE downtown concerts!

Rock the Plaza Concert Series: Friday evenings, June 3, 10, 17, 24, 2022, 6pm-8:30pm (see below for details)

PLUS:

  • Everyone is invited to join us in Lafayette Plaza Park for a FREE concert, 5pm-7:30pm on Tuesday, May 17 with the Lonesome Eddie and the Saddle Sores. This will be during the sold out Taste of Lafayette event but we welcome the community to enjoy the music!  Bring a picnic or get takeout from a local restaurant or purchase beer, wine or nonalcoholic beverages from the Chamber bar in the Plaza.
  • Lafayette’s first Community Day celebration will be held Saturday, June 4, 12:30pm-2:30pm. This FREE event includes information about the participating nonprofits, activities, a BBQ, and live music by the Traveling Wilburys Revue. Learn more here: Community Day.

 

Location: Lafayette’s Plaza Park is located in Lafayette, CA at the corner of Mt. Diablo Blvd. and Moraga Road. Map is located on our Dining & Shopping Guide HERE.

The Rock the Plaza Concert Series is our pre-show for the Lafayette Art & Wine Festival that is typically held the 3rd weekend in September. 2022: Sept. 17 & 18. Learn more here.

The 925 Band is the East Bay’s hottest Dance & Party Band. The group has something for a variety of generations, playing musical genres to capture everyone’s interest. 925’s repertoire includes songs from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and 00’s to current hits and everything in between. Keep on Truckin’

A tribute to the Woodstock Generation Keep On Truckin’ performs Rock, Blues, Funk and R&B, faithfully recreating the musical experience of one of the greatest events in music history.
Together for more than ten years in Sacramento, Keep On Truckin’s five seasoned musicians hail from New York to California and several stops in between. KOT band members have opened for national acts and have performed on stage internationally. Past projects include live TV appearances, movie soundtracks, and recording sessions plus performing to sold-out crowds at festivals, arenas and auditoriums.

Lamorinda Idol

Lamorinda Idol

Now in its 17th year, Lamorinda Idol, a program of the Lamorinda Arts Council, is an annual singing competition open to students in kindergarten through 12th grade who attend school or reside in Contra Costa County. Singers may enter as soloists or in groups.  Performing at the Lafayette Plaza on June 24 will be some of the finalists selected from approximately 150 who will audition.  The program of summer concerts and workshops culminates in the Finals at the Orinda Theatre on August 14, where singers receive immediate feedback from a panel of distinguished judges, and where the winners in each category receive cash prizes.
