August Mixer

We Mixed, We Mingled!

Thank you to The Park Theater Trust for making our August mixer such a fabulous community event! Lafayette Chamber members and the community mixed and mingled on Wednesday, August 24 in front of Lafayette Plaza Park. The Park Theater Trust introduced to our community Jaimi Holker and Adam Bergeron, the husband and wife team behind highly regarded CinemaSF, and the new operators of our much-loved Park Theater.

Thanks to all raffle prize donors:

Thank you Hollie’s Homegrown for the tastings and samples and to Sideboard for showcasing your famous mac & cheese! Thank you Generations in Jazz musicians John Aczon and Allan Smith! Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling Company and Safeway for helping us stock the bar!

A message from The Park Theater Trust:

Dear Fellow Members of the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce and Overall Community who attended last Wednesday’s Chamber event,

On behalf of The Park Theater Trust Board of Directors and our design and build team, Bali Construction, Arcsine, and The Shalleck Collaborative, we would like to thank you all for attending the Summer Mixer. The energy and support from everyone was just fantastic, and so gratifying. We are grateful to each of you and to the Chamber for all the kind words and genuine interest in our plans. We know Jaimi and Adam of CinemaSF felt very welcome.

Please stay in touch with our progress through our website parktheatertrust.org. We also hope you will consider attending the Shawn Raiford Park Theater benefit dinner concert hosted by The Hideout Kitchen on October 5. Please remember space is very limited so be sure to buy your tickets soon (also through our website). And remember the challenge match of $350,000! Every dollar will be matched up until December 31, 2022. The success of this generous effort will have a huge impact on moving this renovation forward.

Thank you again, and enjoy the rest of your summer. We will see you at Art & Wine, September 17 & 18!

Warm regards,
Kathy and Tracey

“We are very impressed with your Chamber. We have been members of other Chambers over the years and it’s been nothing like the experiences we’re having right out of the gate with your organization. Thank you for your great communication, follow up, and professionalism.”
– Peter Dewey, Bayview Painting

“I couldn’t have asked for a better resource than the Chamber, as I was establishing my medical practice in Lafayette. AJ, Holly, and Sara were so responsive to my questions and gave me many ideas on networking in the community. They host several events that foster community building. I honestly cannot imagine a more robust, active, and friendly chamber as this. I’m a member for life!”
– Cheruba Prabakar, Lamorinda Gynecology & Surgery

“WE LOVE THE CHAMBER! Batch and Brine has been a member of the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce for almost six years. We value and appreciate the incredible amount of work this organization produces for our community through many events and support for each business. The networking and education of information that’s spilled out weekly for the business community is impressive. They are a helping hand in so many ways for our business community and beyond. We couldn’t be part of this community without being part of the chamber. Lafayette Chamber is one of the best organizations we’ve worked with, so don’t think twice about it, join the Chamber!” – Rolla Ghaben, Batch & Brine

“The Chamber was instrumental in helping us open 14 years ago. The staff went out of their way to help us make connections and ensure we were successful. We would not be where we are today without the Chamber!”
– John & Colleen McCormick, Lamorinda Music
