Moraga Valley Presbyterian Church

Moraga Valley Presbyterian ChurchMVPC’s Food Pantry is up and running serving and benefiting our Lamorinda community and local families who are in need.  The food pantry is open every Wednesday from 5-6:30PM located downstairs in rooms 201 and 202 near the Family Ministries Office.

Thanks to the generosity of MVPC families, our food pantry is abundant with non-perishables, such as pasta, rice, beans, spaghetti sauce, peanut butter, mac and cheese, flour, sugar, cereal, jelly, canned beans, soup, chili, tuna, vegetables.  Please continue to drop off your food pantry donations in a box outside the Church Office. If you can, please buy multiples of the same item.

Spread the word to your community. Consider picking up food for families in need if they are not able to come.

Winter Solstice goes Digital
To honor this year’s Winter Solstice, Creekside Common’s annual “live” celebration goes digital on the Soul Forum Podcast.  Host Dan Senter interviews some of the special people who have helped craft Lafayette’s annual Solstice Celebrations. Christmas Eve Community Event
December 24, 3:45 p.m. Our Saviors Lutheran Church & Creekside Commons host an outdoor, drive-in, Christmas celebration for the whole household or your Covid bubble. Bundle up the kids, fill a thermos full of hot cocoa, pick up some battery-powered tea lights or a flashlight, and pull into Entry B or C 1035 Carol Lane in Lafayette.  Tune your radio to 99.9 FM for a carol sing with local Singer/Songwriter Laura Zucker, and ground your holidays in the spirit of Christmas with Pastor Dan.  The song sheet pdf is available on-line.

Fireside Manger Scene
On Tuesday, December 22nd, Pastor Dan posts the story of the manger scene on our Youtube Channel Playlist for Kids.   This interactive experience gives your household a chance to fill your manger scene, one character at a time, with some thoughts and reflections on the story itself.  A great experience for Christmas Eve or any time over the holidays while the kids are off school.

 
 

St. Anselm’s Episcopal Church

St. Perpetua Church

Our online services include:

A live-streamed celebration of the Eucharist on Christmas Eve, Thursday, December 24, at 4:00 p.m. You can find the link to this celebration on our parish website at www.stperpetua.org. That celebration will be then available afterwards online to be viewed at anytime.

On Christmas Day, Friday, December 25, there will be two online services using the Zoom platform at 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. Each is a Liturgy of the Word which includes Music, the Scripture readings, Prayers of the Faithful, the Lord’s Prayer, a Prayer of Spiritual Communion and Blessing. You can find the links to these celebrations on our website at www.stperpetua.org. At 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., Holy Communion will be shared in front of the church for those who desire. Participants must be masked and maintain appropriate distance from others.

Each week there are several opportunities to remain connected with the parish community of St. Perpetua during this time of restricted public gathering. Each Sunday there are two online services using the Zoom platform at 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. Following these online services, Holy Communion is shared outside in front of the church for those who desire at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Each Wednesday from 7:00-8:00 p.m. a Town Hall gathering takes place via Zoom, featuring a different speaker and topic of interest. Also, each Wednesday a message of encouragement from our Pastor is sent via our electronic newsletter, the Timely Perpetuan. You can sign up for the newsletter, find the links to all these events and watch the recordings of all of them on our parish website at www.stperpetua.org.
