Tuesday, May 14, 2019, 5:30-9pm, Bank of the West/Downtown Lafayette
Lafayette’s Favorite Dinner Party – The “Taste of Lafayette” Restaurant Stroll! Friends, Food & Entertainment – 20+ Participating Restaurants. A hosted wine and beer reception starts at 5:30 pm at the Bank of the West. Here, participants check in, meet friends, and enjoy a complimentary glass of wine or beer while noshing on delicious appetizers. The “stroll” begins at 6:30 pm, when ticket holders head out at their own pace with friends to stop at any or all of the participating restaurants for sampling. Evening includes music and a raffle supporting the Lafayette Community Foundation. Tickets go on sale in February. Learn more here.
Saturday, June 1, 10am-12pm, Downtown Lafayette
Stroll down Mt. Diablo Blvd. and surrounding streets with your downtown-friendly pooch! Dogs must be social, friendly and on leash at all times. Businesses will be open throughout downtown to greet you and perhaps offer treats! More info will be posted soon about this great event! Learn more here.

Saturday and Sunday, September 21 & 22, 2019, Downtown Lafayette
The Chamber’s Lafayette Art & Wine Festival, held typically on the third weekend in September, is perhaps the largest weekend event in Contra Costa County. Over 80,000 visitors attend, strolling among the art and handmade crafts, sampling foods from top local restaurants, and enjoying quality wines and microbrews. Non-stop musical entertainment on four stages throughout the weekend helps spark the block party ambiance. The “Premium Wine Pavilion” offers tastes of some of the world’s finest wines including wines from our own Lamorinda Wine Growers. The event also includes three Kid Zones and a Local Artists Alley. Sunday, October 20, 2019, 8am, Downtown Lafayette
The Lafayette Res Run for Education is the city’s most popular “family affair,” involving kids, parents, grandparents, and thousands of serious runners from the Bay Area. 2,000 participants compete in a 10k, 5k or 2 mile race through the heart of the downtown, around the Lafayette Reservoir (10k only) and back. Friday, October 25, 2019, 4pm-6pm, Downtown Lafayette
For a fun, safe Halloween event, children and their parents are invited to Trick-or-Treat at participating merchants along Mt. Diablo Blvd. from First Street to Dewing Ave, Lafayette Circle, La Fiesta Square and the Shops at Plaza Center. This event is free for everyone and recommended for children 9 and under. Join business owners, residents and community leaders on the Friday before Thanksgiving. This long tradition in Lafayette brings our community together as we welcome in the holiday season. Tickets for this event will go on sale in October.
Friday, December 6, 2019, 4pm-6pm, Lafayette Plaza Park
This fun and festive event includes visits with Santa, official holiday tree lighting ceremony, one-of-a-kind photo ops, live musical entertainment, crafts, holiday treats and a holiday sing-a-long. This Santa’s “sleigh” is Lafayette’s historic fire truck, Old Betsy! Arrive early to see Santa’s arrival and plan to stay! This is a free community event sponsored by The Dana Green Team and Branagh Development!
