About Lafayette

About Lafayette

For Living. For Business. For You.

The best of any condition is the seamless combination of form and function. Lafayette’s beauty and quiet rural atmosphere is never overshadowed by the variety of services, products, activities, resources and recreations offered. They combine exquisitely into the best condition for living, working and owning a business.

For Living

Forget about Lafayette having some of California’s top primary educational institutions. Even forget about the theaters, the Lafayette reservoir, the Iron Horse walking trail… those are icing on an already tasty cake. Lafayette is so much more. For instance, look at the wide range of clubs and organizations in the community. From Little Leagues to Rotary Clubs; from drama groups to an archery club, there is something to peak everyone’s interest in being a participant in the community. The Lafayette Community Center offers a myriad of activities for all Lafayette residents from preschoolers through older adults and seniors. The City Council and City Commissions also meet at the Community Center. Living here means enjoying being a daily part of the community and having a say in what matters. Lafayette understands that your hometown is for living.

For Business

The Chamber of Commerce in Lafayette is one of the Bay Area’s hardest working and most effective organizations of its kind. With a mission statement that directs their efforts towards enhancing the business community as well as the quality of life in Lafayette, this is a Chamber of Commerce that works as hard for its residents as for its businesses. With annual events such as the Lafayette Res Run for Education, the Community Thanksgiving Breakfast and the wildly popular Lafayette Art & Wine Festival, the Chamber of Commerce helps put the business community together with the residential to create a seamless combination of success, respect, and enjoyment for all. A Chamber that understands business combined with a community that understands pride creates an atmosphere of excitement and longevity for savvy business owners. Lafayette is, indeed, for business.

“We are very impressed with your Chamber. We have been members of other Chambers over the years and it’s been nothing like the experiences we’re having right out of the gate with your organization. Thank you for your great communication, follow up, and professionalism.”
– Peter Dewey, Bayview Painting

“I couldn’t have asked for a better resource than the Chamber, as I was establishing my medical practice in Lafayette. AJ, Holly, and Sara were so responsive to my questions and gave me many ideas on networking in the community. They host several events that foster community building. I honestly cannot imagine a more robust, active, and friendly chamber as this. I’m a member for life!”
– Cheruba Prabakar, Lamorinda Gynecology & Surgery

“WE LOVE THE CHAMBER! Batch and Brine has been a member of the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce for almost six years. We value and appreciate the incredible amount of work this organization produces for our community through many events and support for each business. The networking and education of information that’s spilled out weekly for the business community is impressive. They are a helping hand in so many ways for our business community and beyond. We couldn’t be part of this community without being part of the chamber. Lafayette Chamber is one of the best organizations we’ve worked with, so don’t think twice about it, join the Chamber!” – Rolla Ghaben, Batch & Brine

“The Chamber was instrumental in helping us open 14 years ago. The staff went out of their way to help us make connections and ensure we were successful. We would not be where we are today without the Chamber!”
– John & Colleen McCormick, Lamorinda Music
